I grew up in the shadow of this hill I played in its wooded sides as a child it was the first hill I climbed and will one day be my last. It stands alone out side of the embrace of the black mountains but due to its distinctive silhouette it is one of the most well known hill. The remains of St. Michaels Chapel mark the summit whilst the large landslip on the western side have been the source of many local legends and myths from Noah's Ark grounding its self or the fall of the Devil when he jumped across from the sugar loaf in a stone throwing competition with Jack 'o' Kent but that myth can wait for another day.
